Spring...where are you?
Mar 09, 2008
I finally feel healthy enough to get back to exercising, but the machines just don't look or feel like much fun! I want to jog or bike-ride up and down the streets and take in some fresh air and sunshine...but the weather is not cooperating! Hopefully Mother Nature has had her last blast of Winter fury and we can move on to daffodils and 50 degrees VERY SOON!
Otherwise, I'm happy
80# lighter, new hair-do (again), new clothes, and a makeover, have people noticing a remarkable transformation! I still have a little ways to go, but all-in-all, life is GRAND! Oh...I was recently promoted too!
Family is doing great, so that helps with the happy-meter!

Bye-Bye 2007 & 65+ Pounds!
Jan 01, 2008

So, Happy New Year to us!!
May our goals be in sight, attained and maintained without struggle. To my Secret Pal (if you're "watching") ---- I didn't realize how much this little program would help me and my will to succeed. I realize I'm not just doing this for myself, my friends, and my family...but for you as well. It must be much easier to care for a pal who is in good spirits and truly enjoys the moments in life when they come home from a crazy day at work to find a sweet package from a sweet person who, both ways, is a complete stranger. You're the best and the holidays were better because you were a part of it
Thank you again for a special two months and I hope you're around for the next set! Happy New Year!Perfect Ending to a Gloomy Day!

This evening, my first major goal was met --- 50 pounds eliminated! I usually weigh myself on Thursday's, but I missed it and then I forgot to do it this morning, so I hopped on the scales when I got home from work today and BAM --- a pretty nice loss to get me to my first major goal...like, new-diamond-ring-major!!
Then, I came home from work to find a special gift waiting for me from my Secret Pal/Awesome Person!
So, the Autumn/Pre-Winter blah's were chased away by a couple of remarkable incidents that I REALLY needed today! Definitely ending my day with a HUGE smile
Rough Weeks Have Passed
Oct 12, 2007
I am happy for the time I got to spend with my sister during my medical leave from work because of the surgery. The timing of it all worked out for the best and I would do it all over again! She was one tough lady and fought until the bitter end.
Dedicated to Barb - I love you and will miss you terribly. Rest in peace my sweet, sweet sister. You are now the angel who will be watching over us. Good night.
Post-Op and Doing Fine!
Sep 30, 2007
Passed my two week mark and things are going very well! I had a little cold or flu activity that got me down, but only for about a day. Meal planning is my daily challenge and it helps that I'm not working, but I do miss work (crazy, I know!) Have not had to resort to baby food yet as the things I am cooking are not bad in pureed form! I'm trying to maintain a nice variety of items that will taste decent all smooshed up, and with nearly two more weeks to go with the thin puree, it will be a sure test of my kitchen creativity!
All else is doing fine...incisions look good and pain is no longer noticable. BP is running low, but doc and I are dealing with that. It does make my energy level a little on the low side as well, but hoping that fixes itself real soon! Looking forward to Autumn strolls!!
