I should have started this right after surgery, but for what ever reason I didn't.
I am currently about 5 1/2 weeks out from surgery (12/14/06). I have been feeling great!
Right after surgery, it was a bit strange to have to concentrate and think about how much and what I was going to eat. I also remember having this awful metalic taste in my mouth for about 3 weeks. It was the anesthia (a side effect).
Upon coming home from surgery, my mom came for a visit a few days later. We mainly just sat around and chatted and she went grocery shopping for me. A few days after she left, my sister came for a weekend visit with her doggie.
Her dog and ours just loved each other. I actually got out of the house a bit when she was here. It was great.
A few important dates up until now.
1/16/07 - ate chicken for the first time
1/17/07 - learned that sourdough bread/toast does not agree with me
1/18/07 - ate beef for the first time
1/22/07 - total weight lost to date is 35 pounds!!
Next doctor visit is February 28, 2007
