Hi Kiwani - thank you so much for your support and kind words. It looks like you will also be needing a hug, and someone to watch over you as you venture through your upcoming surgery. It's a journey just getting to the point of surgery, going through the doctor visits, and all the evaluations, to see if we really do want to have this surgery. I look forward to June 14, my "change of life" day (surgery)... as I want to change my life to a healther, and more productive way of living. We both had open rny's in 2001. Mine (Doug, aka: OLD RODEO CLOWN PANTS), was in Oct and I have lost 215 lbs. I started at 450!!!! My sweet wife, Nancy, had hers in June and has lost 110 lbs. Hi Kiwani, I think we were in the same group section at Dr. Duncan office. I'm (Charlotte) I was called first to get exam, because the guy in our section had an important phone to take. I hope you get your insurance issues straight out. I found out that I have to pay the hospital 200.00 before surgery. That was a knock out, when the Dr. told us that Dr. Duncan has surgery scheduled all the ways up to April.

Best of Luck with your weight loss journey. I am scheduled for surgery on 2-18-04 with Dr. Duncan. I went to my seminar in Sept '03 but researched for months prior. It really didn't take as long as I thought for the pre-approval tests and the approval. Hopefully you will be as luck...Good Luck

Hi Kiwani. I just wanted to tell you Good Luck and Dr. Duncan does have a very good reputation. I have also chosen him as my surgeon. I will also be attending the seminar on 1/20. See you there. :)
