"I had my first visit with Dr. Stelmach and I liked him very much. He was very UP FRONT and did not try to paint a rosey picture.. he told you like it was so you know going into surgery what you will be facing. The staff at the Bariatric Treatment Center were WONDERFUL and I was surprised to learn that every person I came in contact with has had this surgery done. I think its great to have staff that can relate to the people and tell there own success stories. The nurse that did my intake was a very pretty young woman, and I know my husband and myself both were in shock when she told us she had the surgery herself, she showed us her BEFORE pic.. and she looked WONDERFUL now. I have not had surgery yet so I can not say anything about his competence, but I am sure he is good or he wouldnt be a full time Dr at the BTC. Only thing I can say is.. he talks VERY fast and has a NEW YORK accent.. so you have to listen VERY carfully and ask him to slow down. But when I asked him to slow down, he did. So I guess he was use to that request. I am excited and I have total faith in my Dr. and his staff. "
