I am 37 years old and I have three children.  In high school I stayed pretty fit even though I have always been on the large side pretty much all of my life.  I played basketball and wore a size 16.  I stayed between a size 16 and 18 until I graduated from high school.  After that I steadily gained weight.  I got up to 285 lbs. then I got pregnant with my first child.  What I learned during my pregnancy is my metabolism (for some strange reason) increased and instead of gaining weight like a woman would normally do during pregnancy, I would lose it.  After I had my son Richard, I lost a total of 75 lbs!  That was short lived because a few months later all of that weight came back plus some.  I had the same thing happen with my other pregnancies and my heaviest weight was 325lbs.  Right now I am currently at 306 lbs. and that's because I don't have a car right now so I have to take public transportation wherever I go and that involves some walking.  To me that is a small blessing in disguise because I do get some form of exercise.  Anyway, how I got to where I am is I was diagnosed in 2003 with Fibromyalgia after the birth of my third child so I suffer from constant muscle and joint pain.  I also suffer from depression (but who wouldn't be after gaining so much weight?).  I've tried Weight Watchers, diet pills, water pills, Richard Simmons Sweatin' To the Oldies, Susan Powter, not eating candy or sweets, drinking water before meals, etc. but yet I'm still here and still morbidly obese.
