My story started..... Look I have been overweight all my life. In elementary they called it baby fat, in middle school they call chubby and in high school big bone.  Didn't make any sense to me either. Anyway, it didn't become a problem until I was about 22, I was well over 250+ and I just got married to my ex-husband. We were married for about 3 years and in those 3 years I gain a whooping 90 pounds.  He was a joke, he cheated me by the time our honeymoon was over.  We had a on and off relationship. During that time FOOD was my only freind, it comforted me, During the last separation right before the Divorce I started eatting more healthier foods and I walked twice a day 6 days a week, I had a lot on my mind. And I also wanted him to see what he was going to be losing.  During this time I had lost about 80lbs, I looked great, my divorce was final, I was getting compliments from other men and I was on my way to a new begining.  Everything was going going go for me then I meet my now husband (Dre).  We started out as freinds, he was wonderful.  A couple of years had passed and I started put the weight back on slowly.  I got pregnant with my daughter (Aiyana), put on some weigt. After I had her I lost a little weight and then gain more then a little over 2 years I was pregnant with my son (Andre), put on some more weight, didn't gain much with pregnancy but gain a whole lot more after.  Hopefully you have done the math I had reached 350+ pounds. Last year back in February 2007, I decided to do something about the wieght. I had decided to join a gym and see a weight loss doctor, I was weighing in a 388lbs.  The pills worked for a while but I just put the weight back on and going to the gym became a  no show.  I was tipping the scales at 402lbs it August 2007 it was time to do something.  This is when I decided to do the wls (LapBand).  To scared to do the RNY and besides I had no co-morbidities except a BMI of 68.  I knew that this was going to be a slow process but I also knew that I didn't put the weight on overnite either.  That was the begining of my journey. I started the 6 months eval that my insurance required (Cigna) by April I had completed everything I needed to do. I forward all the paperwork to my surgeon's office.  It took about two weeks for them to locate my papers. They finally got them and they said the medical notes my physician submitted wasn't good enough. I went back to my physician in May and he rewrote the notes, turn everthing in on May 9, 2007. I gave the surgeon's office a week and call to make sure they had gotten the papers finally she had gotten and submitted them to the insurance company.  She said it would take 2-4 weeks.  I got a letter from my insurance company on May 24, 2007.  They called for the surgeon's office on May 28, 2007.  My date was on June 24, 2007!!!
