Hi Kimberly!
Depending on your BMI, it might even happen before 6 mos! People with higher BMI's tend to lose the weight faster than those whose BMI's are lower, say in the 40-50 range. But it's not necessarily easy. I'm coming up to my 7 mo. post-op, have been stuck on my first plateau for the past 3.5 wks (this being my first plateau is EXTREMELY rare), but at 6 mos, I was already down 112 lbs, starting at 300 with a BMI of 49.9.
I take that back. Those are my highs.
On the day of my surgery, I was 289. Can't remember my BMI. Still, at 6 mos, down 101. But please read my profile, let me say I worked hard for that loss.
It is possible. Anything is possible after WLS!
Best wishes to you on your weight loss journey!
