"I remember buying a "woman's" magazine and reading this article about weight loss surgery and individuals that struggled with their weight. Each story ended the same, they lost a lot of weight, they are healthy and happy and they all had the same surgeon, Dr. Ernest Cudjoe. I thought, wow!, how exciting for them, maybe I can find me a doctor just like him.... So, I grabbed the phone book, not finishing the article, I was too excited to finish, all I knew was that I wanted to be happy, healthy and skinny. Right then and there I made the decision to seek medical help with my weight problem. I first called my doctor and set up an appointment to explain to her what my plan was.... I went to a seminar and listened to what Dr. Cudjoe had to say. He spoke so clearly and informative about this procedure, it was much more than him opening you up and reducing the size of your stomach. You have to be willing to change, drastically change! He said that this surgery might not be the answer for everyone. And that he would not perform surgery on those who are not willing to change and help themselves. If you're looking a miracle pill or tranformation over night then this surgery was not for you. He listened to each person as they approached him, and most were asking when they could have the surgery and if he took their insurance. He asked the same question, "why do you want this surgery??", "what has your physician said to you about this surgery??".... He cares, that is the main reason I highly recommend Dr. Ernest Cudjoe. I met with him and he performed my surgery 12/7/04, everything went perfectly smooth. I recovered from surgery in a timely manner and I lost the weight steadily. I have lost a total of 127lbs., I look and feel fabulous. I went to a follow-up visit with Dr. Cudjoe this morning 3/2/06 and he could not believe my transformation, he had tears in his eyes and laughed, he hardly recognized me. I thanked him profusely and told him I would see him in 3 months for another follow-up. "
