Today is August 1st 2010. I have had 13 surgeries since my original surgery in 2001. I haven't been on in a while due to all of the surgeries... I had to have another hernia surgery last May and I had to have another to repair 2 more hernia's this may 20th. I also had to change doctors because I had used dr. miles for years.. I am now with dr. long he has done the last 2 surgeries and because of my former doctor missing hernia's on the films I almost died. dr. long saved my life and continues to... Thank goodness my family doctor new I was sick.... Not bashing just stating... and every surgery with my prior surgeon was all done open.... (told it would have to be that way) well my sweet dr. long did both surgeries laproscopic..... My surgery is irreversible, but i am doing a little better now... I lost my soulmate nov 1 of 2008. my life has been upside since... Tracy Mize I luv ya and I will call you....

weight gain

Has anyone had any trouble with gaining weight since surgery? I have had 10 surgeries since my original surgery and a ton of complications and I still don't eat very well, but it seems I am gaining weight regardless of what I do? I am 5-1/2 years out but only about 1 year since my last surgery. Has this happened to anyone else?
