Hello all!

I went to see Dr. Graber and his team on the 23rd of this month.  What a nice group of professionals!  I met some very nice people as well...Shelley, hope you're feeling ok, and don't hurry back to work now!!! 

I was surprised how many Canadians were there as well.  All in all, America, your hospitality was #1!!  Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
 
Okay, down to business!  Turns out, I need more than just the required tests to be done.  Dr. Graber is hoping to do an endoscope and a myometry (of my esophagus) before he can decide on a tentative surgery date.  He also has to re-apply to OHIP (well, Dr. Wicklam at the Ottawa Weight Management Clinic does).  The re-application is for 2 surgeries ~ the revision of the gastroplasty to the RNY, and if found to have Akalasia, then the other surgery will be to cut the muscle in the esophagus and bring up the stomach.  He has to apply to OHIP for the tests too, to be done essentially by him (preferable for him).  So, it's back to the proverbial "waiting game", you know...the game I am soooo not good at!!!

In the mean time, Dr. Graber put me on this crazy new eating plan...but, despite a few boo-boos (sounds better than cheats, doesn't it?!!), I have managed to lose 14.2lbs!  8.2 lbs since Tues and it's only Sat today...oh, did I mention that he told me not to weigh myself?  Old habits die hard, eh?
