Hi! I'm so happy for you that you were able to go through with the surgery. Maybe you could tell me how you did it??? I'm supposed to have surgery Tuesday and I have got more than a few heebie jeebies... I tried to talk my husband into talking me out of it last night... He didn't do it. Well, he started to and then he started cleaning our bedroom saying he had to be done for when I came home... I am so glad for you!!! I hope everything continues well for you!

Lauren, I just joined yesterday and saw this morning that you had your surgery on Monday. How exciting. I hope you are doing well and feeling fine! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I live in NJ as well (near Flemington), maybe we can meet someday. All good wishes for a quick recovery. P.S. I have my consult appt. on Monday! I'm so nervous and excited, I can't wait! lauren i dont know you and you dont know me but i read that you had surgery on monday and i just wanted to congradulate you and wish you well. i am Tina Buskey's friend and angel. she is having her surgery on friday the 24th. i am nervous for her and have been praying for her every day. somehow i feel better when i leave messages like this to people who have had rescent surgery so if youre wondering why i chose you thats why. thanks for listening and again good luck to you on your new life! would you please also say a prayer for my friend Tina ? well thanks and get well soon.

Hi Friends! I just thought I should drop by with an update. I had my surgery Monday, and came home Wednesday (yesterday.) The surgery was a success, and I had no complications. (I am so thankful for that!) I'm sure all of you wonderful people that signed my surgery pages, and my 2 great angels (Marissa Higgins and Rory OBrien) helped too. I can't belive the wonderful support I have received. I am feeling weak, but certainly ok considering. When do most people start more nutritious food? My post-op guide says 1-2 weeks on clear liquids. I decided to try a protein shake today to see if it helps me get stronger. Any advice is welcome! Thanks again to everyone!

***Angel on Duty**** I visited Lauren in the hospital last night....she looks wonderful! A little sore (she said "I feel like I did 2 million too many sit ups") but she was up in a chair, and we even took a little walk around the halls. If all goes well, it looks like she'll be heading home today!! The twinkle was still in her eyes, and thats when I really knew she was doing OK!!! Way to go, Girl!!!!

***Angel Update**** I spoke to Lauren this morning. Her surgery was yesterday, and she came through with flying colors. She passed her leak test this morning, so she was getting ready to have her first sip of water!!! I will see her tonight, but she sounds fantastic!!! She was a little hoarse, but I managed to get a few chuckles out of her, so I'm really happy and excited for her!!!! I can't wait to see her and get her out of bed! (I warned her that she'd better have her sneakers on when I got there!!! *grin*) So, be sure to sign her surgery page and wish her a speedy recovery, and luck on the start of her new life!
