Hi, I'm Lindsay.  I'm a 22 year old college student.  I'm going to school for nursing and have a year left to go until I'll have my BSN.  I've been overweight all my life.  I started looking at bariatric surgery since i was 13.  At 14 i started going through all the pre-op appointments at Frodert Hospital in Milwaukee.  In the middle of all the appointments i decided to stop because I was being treated as a number and not as a person.  They were more excited about how young I was, and how I would benefit their program because I was so young.  This to me was extremely sad and disappointing.  So i decided to look elsewhere before letting them use me as a guinea pig.  At 18 yrs old I found a great place called the Bariatric Institute of Wisconsin.  They showed me that i wasn't just a number, but a person going through a life changing experience.  They were extremely supportive and positive about me wanting to change my life.  I've decided to take a couple years to finish school before I begin my weight loss journey.

I'm your basic caring, nonjudgemental, loving person that would do anything for anyone.  I often tend to care too much, which is good and bad depending on the situation.  I've had my heart broken several times now, and each time is harder then the last.  If you ever want to talk just send me a message.

The best thing about the future is that it only comes one day at a time.

Without a struggle, there can be no progress.

Things don't change.  You change your way of looking, that's all.

It's better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you aren't.

When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.

You should never make someone a priority when they see you as an option.
