7 months out and down 100lbs
Nov 15, 2009
Well here I am at 7 months out and i am down 101lbs since i started back in late february early march. I weighed in yesterday morning at 193. WOW is all I can say. My goal for Thanksgiving was 194 so I have done better than that . I haven't weighed this amount in about 12 years so it really does feel great. We took the kids over to the playground at the school a little while ago and I actually jogged 2 times around the track. I was a little winded but i probably could have jogged another lap or 2.I told my husband that the last time I actually jogged was about 20 years ago. I have also been getting ALOT of compliments about how good I look or how much weight i have lost. I guess that it is really starting to show now. I feel great and i am so glad I had this surgery. I do want to mention that i am scared of transfer addictions. My Dr. Ok'd me to drink wine if I wanted. But i find that i can drink 1/2 bottle and be pretty tipsy and then sober up pretty quick. I have made a promise to myself that i will only drink on special occasions or if me and the hubby go out for dinner. It's not like i am drinking every day right now. I will usually drink 1-2 nights on the weekends usually 2 glasses of wine in a night. I have read alot about transfer addictions especially alcohol. I know alot of drs want people to wait a year, but I did ask my dr and he said that if I wanted a drink I could have one. I am sure he didn't mean 3-4-5 drinks so i do try to keep that in mind. The holidays are coming and I am really not worried about the food, because I can't eat much and i can't eat anything with sugar. My next goal is 180 by New Years. That is only 13 lbs. I know i can, I know i can, i know i can..........................ONEDERLAND!!!!

ONEDERLAND IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!
I have been waiting and waiting and I felt sooo stuck in the 200-203lb range for the last few weeks. This morning 199.2 lbs. I was so excited i have told my mom and my husband and anyone else who i thought would care. i have not weighed in the 100's since the late 90's. I feel so great and I am so happy that i got this surgery. I am down 95lbs, 5 more lbs to go to get to the 100lbs lost mark. All I can say for now is YAHOO!!!!! Also I reached my Halloween Goal of 199. Finally I actually reached a goal. Well enough for now I hope everyone is drinking their water and protein. I know for me that is what makes a big difference.

3 1/2 mos out!!
Aug 03, 2009

I am a little over 3 1/2 months out now and things are going pretty well. I am down 72 lbs, which is good i guess. The important thing is it is coming off, fast or slow I don't care. I finally have started walking. My oldest son is going to football practice at the high school 4 days a week and i started walking the track. If i walk around 4 times that's about 30 min. I am working my way up to 1 hour. I did notice that I started losing weight faster when I started walking ( Imagine That ). I am working on not snacking as much, I know its bad, I know i shouldn't do it , but i do anyway. The weekend are the hardest because I am at home. I just started reading the Becks diet solution. The book makes alot of sense, I just have to commit to reading more on a daily basis. I haven't set any goals yet so here they are:
goal #1- 215lbs 8/17/09
goal #2- 200lbs 10/13/09- 6 month surgiversary
goal #3- 194lbs 11/13/09- down 100lbs
goal #4- 180lbs 12/25/09- graduated high school at this weight
I have turned a corner for the better

I have finally got it (I think). I chew my food slowly and don't get it stuck as much, I am drinking alot more water. I am not eating anything with sugar, because with my dumping syndrome myheart races and I feel sweaty and ill. I get in my vitamins daily. The weight is finally starting to come off quicker. It took me 2 1/2 months to figure this out. I just thought I wouldn't have to try after this surgery and that is just not true. I now know that I have a tool that will help me lose weight but I have to help it to work. I have my first goal to be down to 220 by july 20, I think that is realistic. Then I will have just have 20 lbs to lose to be in onederland, somewhere I have not been in over 10 years. I can't wait!!!!!!
