3 1/2 weeks post op

Jan 05, 2011

Well I am 3 1/2 weeks post opp and feeling amazing! I do however have my down days. And on top of it my headaches are starting to come back. I enjoyed not having them while i was healing.

Discovering foods that I never liked before are kinda fun. I've been open to just about everything to see if I like it now or not. I fell in love with cottage cheese which I never could eat before. My husband said he has to fight for it now! haha. Just going to get him his own when I get mine. However I am not enjoying chicken yet, as it hits me like a pile of bricks. So I am going to go get some ground turkey and try that. Lunch meat is my savor right now that is very enjoyable. It's been a little rough getting used to all this but i'm sticking to it and not caving in. I know it's for the best in the long run. I am also enjoying seeing the weight come off. When I started the whole Journey I was 290lbs, when I wen't into Surgery I was 277lbs. As of today I am 256lbs. That was a few days ago, so probably less then that. It's been great shopping in my closet as I put clothes away. I havn't seen this weight since 2007 sometime before I got pregnant with my son in 2008.

Today I am going to start my exercising. I play "Just Dance" with my 4 yr old daughter. I've also gotten my Husband to start up on it too. Which is good since he is overweight as well but he's happy being fat. That needs to change soon or he will not get to see his kids graduate from high school. I try to keep telling him that but he just doesn't care.

Dec 07, 2010

Today is Dec 7, 2010. My WLS is scheduled for December 11, 2010. I am very ready to have this done. I want to start feeling better about myself, and better for my kids. I have some highly energetic children and would love to keep up with them.  And since they are very young (Toddler) I need to be able to stay healthy and vibrant for a very long time to come.

Just very excited to get this WLS. Havn't had time to be nervous about any of it. I also have a wonderful support system that is behind me 110%. I also have a friend going through it on the same exact day, and same hospital. We met in our classes through Kaiser. We discovered that we live in the same city, and live less than a mile from each other. It's really amazing. God brought us together for a reason. ♥
