My Dad taught the Dale Carnegie Course for many years. From him, I learned to think positively and that Success comes in Cans. My mother, on the other hand, taught me that if you want to be beautiful, you have to suffer. OK, here I go. I'm going to suffer in a positive way. 
Finally got a surgery date. Never thought it would take this long. Up until now, I have had the initial appt. with the surgeon, gone to a Pulmonary Dr., gone to a Neuropsychologist twice, had a sleep study, had an appt. with a nutritionist, and attended an education class. 
I'm scheduled for surgery on October 5, 2010. Not worried about the surgery but am a little concerned about the eating afterward. Nothing but jello, soup, and pudding for two weeks? Hard to imagine.
Can't wait to start losing weight. Hoping to feel better, stronger.
