My story began mid January of 2007. We had taken Christmas pictures opening gifts. I thought I didn't look to bad but when the picture came I counld not believe how I looked. Oh my, no wonder I felt so tired and stiff. So I started my JOURNEY!
I approached Dr. Posner at Buffalo General Hospital Bariatrice Center. I went to the first seminar with the best supporter I have my Husband, John. He has been at my side for 15 years and truly is here for better or worse.
I have had a sleep apena test, blood work, psych eval, journal keeping of my diet and excersize. I have been treated for H. pylori and on May 12 will have a egd done to see if the bacteria is gone. I have struggled with emotional eating and frustration.
I feel like a catapiller waiting to blossom.

Sunday, two days before surgery. I feel like it is going to be a Christening of sorts into a new life! The emotions and feelings I have been having are out of this world. It seems impossible I will be smaller. I have worked hard and have already lost 30lbs. My goal is to loose 100 lbs and be healthy and happy!
I am very nervous about surgery. It is one thing to have surgery you need for helath reasons but another, just wait a minute, I need this surgery to live! I guess that problem is solved. I have support from my Husband and Family and that means everything. I will be posting pictures of the before and then down the road the after.
