Hit my 100 lb Mark

Today I officially hit my 100lb weight loss mark. It was actually 102 lbs. I have been having stalls and no scale movement so I tend to weigh once a week or so. Decided to try it today and there it was to my amazement. Saturday will be my 6 month Surgiversary.. Let's see if we can get to Onederland by Saturday.  I can not tell you how much better I feel. This has been wonderful, no big complications for me so far. A few food trial and errors but I can handle those. This time last year I felt like a fat lazy blob with no energy. I plan to never go back there again..

I am so pleased with my surgery and weight loss so far. Yesterday I was at 84 lbs lost since 7/17/08, Wow! I love this new tool.. I am hoping to hit 100 lbs by Christmas or the end of the month..

It is so nice to fit into smaller clothes and to feel more healty and energetic too.  I just love my surgery and the great friends I have made with this whole process..

I am so pleased with my decision to have this surgery. This is a rockin tool!  Finally I am loosing steadily and now 70 lbs lost forever. Boy am I loving this adventure. I could not tell you the last time I lost 70 lbs. Probably because I never have lost that much before. Not even with Phen-Fen.. Of course I was not at this high of a starting weight either.  Looking forward to hitting onederland.. hope I do so before Christmas or at least by the end of the year.

I thought I should post an update since it has been a while. I really need to get my son to help me measure again since my surgery. Well so far I am down 63 lbs. That is the equivilent of my 8 year old +2 lbs. That is something I can really visualize. 
My dear friends at work make comments every day and I love it. They call me skinny, shrinking woman and other things I thought I would never be called. (nice things of course)
I need to post new pictures and inches lost.. hopefully this weekend.  This is awesome, I love it!

New Stage Today

Wow, how nice it is to get to every new stage of food. It is amazing how tasty everything is. I love the soups and cottage cheese and look forward to some pureed vegetables this week.

I have really had a pretty good go at this with my tool. The only issue is if I forget and swallow a big drink of liquid when I forget. Man that pouch can get really uncomfortable and cause some pain and even sweats..

I have lost 40 lbs so far and I can't wait to ride this journey out..

Starting Phase 3

Today I begin phase 3, boy am I excited. I will be nice to eat a few things off a spoon for a change. Down 34 lbs so far and feeling great.

I went for my post-op appt and everything was great. I will be going back in three weeks for a follow up with my surgeon as he was out on vacation.

I can't wait to go shopping someday for smaller clothes..

Surgery Succes

I am happy to say my surgery went well and they were able to get to my gall bladder and remove it.  My experience was wonderful. Everyone at the hospital were so nice and helpful. 

Other than a couple of tightness feelings in my stomach and some gas in my shoulder I feel pretty good. I am so glad this is done and now I can begin to use my tool wisely and reap the benefits..

Final Pre-Op Post

Well today is the last day before my surgery. I am very excited to go through with this and I look forward to losing weight and being healthier. I want to do so many things that are either difficult or non-existent in this body.

I saw some pictures yesterday we had taken with our family and I just wanted to cry. I hate the way I look and I am ready to change it!

I am a bit nervious in the back of my mind and find it very hard to sleep each night. But I feel I have made the right choice and that God will keep me safe through this and he has better plans for me after tomorrow..

Well today I had a few extra hoops to jump through. Luckily I was off today to pre-register and go for my last before surger doctors appt. I received a call last night there was some question on the Mamogram they did and they would need to do some extra tests prior to surger to make sure everything was find. Apparently there was a nodule or duct that on my last mamo in 12/06 was 5cm and on the one done 5/2008 it was now 8cm.  So I spent my day going to pre-register and to the other hospital where I had my mamo for a compression test and an ultrasound. Then I was able to go for my last appt. The girl was very nice who did the ultrasound spoke with the radiologist. He seemed to think all looked okay and they would most likely recommend a follow up in 6 months. Yahoo! Was getting worried there for a moment that we would have to postpone my date.

Surgery Anticipation

It's finally sinking in that my surgery has been approved and the date has been made. I am very excited for the day to come and to know all went well and I am on the road to the new me.

I am currently following my 2 week pre-op diet of liquids and protein. I feel this is going to be one of the toughest times when you still have that big stomach telling you I'm hungry.  I just keep telling myself I need to do this and do it right, just take it 1 day at a time. Trying not to look at the days ahead of this pre-op diet.

I have learned so much from this website and met some really nice folks. You are all such an inspiration with your stories and photos. I too hope I can one day post that 100 lbs lost picture and look back to see where I came from and know this all took place and I am a much better, healthier and happier person.
