It has been 12 weeks since surgery and I feel great! I have lost almost 80 pounds and went down 4 sizes! I am able to eat and I have energy like never before! Well, maybe when I was in my 20's! I ride a bike everyday and I just started the shake weight to tone up the arms and upper body, have alot of loose skin on my arms already, verry shocking. This has been the best thing to happen to me in my whole life! I am so thankful to have had this surgery, I pray everyday to be careful and not eat more than I should or the wrong foods. God has blessed me with a second chance at life!

well it has been 6 weeks yesterday since my surgery and I feel great! Ive lost over 40 pounds already and I never feel hungry! I eat only a couple times a day cause my tummy just cant hold much food. Im starting to walk better, less pain in my knees and now I can eat a variety of different foods not just the soups.I realized I cant taste test when i cook, if i do I have no room left when the food is done! lol 4 to 5 bites is a whole meal for me and I am so happy and anxious to get all the weight off! started at 324 and now am 283

please some one give me advice! im tired all day and I really need to get back to work! Its been 2 and a half weeks and I feel like crap!

still sore wondering if this is ok but as far as the diet Im feeling real good about it and doing good!

Im home and feeling a little sore still but I am so happy to be at this point! Surgery was Tuesday  Oct 4, 2011  with doctor Sosa in Miami Florida , best decision I have ever made, even with the pain I feel so empowered to succeed!

Got insurance approval and surgery date is October the 4th! Its finally a reality, Im having weight loss surgery!!!!!!!! Ive lost a little bit of weight so Im currently at 324 but hopefully in the next 2 weeks I will lose some more since I will be on a liquid diet 48 hours before surgery. I wear a size 26/28 now and i have already collected a few items in the 22 and 24 size im so ready to start throwing out the fat clothes as I go down! Well actually i will donate them, but still they are gone for good! Im so excited im just rambling on about clothes! lol because Im so looking forward to fitting in to a smaller size and finding things I actually like not just what fits! Not to mention my knees need the break! they hurt so bad and I refuse replacement until after the surgery and I have lost all my weight! my doctors goal is for me to lose down to 180 my goal is 135 and I believe I will get to my goal!

Im 46 years old and if I dont get this surgery Im sure I will die before Im 50. I am now 324 pounds but was at 344 just a few months ago. I try not to gain and I do try to lose but dont seem to lose more than 20 to 25 pounds before the struggle just is to much and I give up. I have been overweight for most of my adult life, not as much as I am now but still overweight none the less. When I was younger I was verry active so I was able to keep my weight around 230, overweight but a little more healthier than what I am now. then my husband left me and the depression began. I gained more and got up to 275 and vowed I would never hit 300! Then I injured my knees and could no longer work on my feet 12 hour shifts, not a good thing for a fat girl! I met a man that didnt care what size I was and that really didnt help, no reason to worry about my weight anymore it was just too much trouble! Of course that was wrong and now 10 years of carrying all this weight has put a strain on my heart, back, knees and emotionally Im done! This is truly a life or death situation for me, I have to get surgery to be able to live and see my grandbabies grow up! I am so thankful for all the people that have shared their stories on here and the person who told me that she had the surgery and medicaid will cover it with the doctor she used! I had been trying so hard to find some one in Ft Myers Florida to take my insurance and was failing, and then I met Jen and she share her story with me! She was so beautiful I could not believe she had ever been fat, she went home and got a before pic and brought it to me to see. I was so thrilled and inspired from that moment on I was on a mission to get the surgery! So Ive done all the pre testing and I am now just waiting for the aproval to get my surgery date!  Prayin it will be this month, want to lose before Christmas!
