I am 24 years old and married to a wonderful man. I don't have any children of my own but we are planning. I have a 9 yr old stepdaughter, she might as well be mine, I have taken care of her since she was 6mnths old. I grew up in a broken home and have had lots of disappointments growing up. I have 3 old brothers and 2 younger sisters that I don't really know (dad cheated around). I am the yougest of my moms kids. We moved alot and my parents seperated when I was in 2nd grade, I was about 8. My mom had to work 2-3 jobs at a time just so that we could have what we needed. My dad was abusive, an achololic and into drugs really bad. When I was 10 he went to prison and was sentenced to 60yrs, so he wasn't really part of my life. I have always be kinda big for my age and always picked on and teased. I have know my hubby for almost all my life, he was a brothers friend. We knida grew up around each other. We did see each other for about 3 years and kinda went our seperate ways. When I was 15 I saw him again, it was great!! I fell in love and he was scared to but I guess I grew on him. We started dating and we married when I was 19. From then on life had started to go on the right track. Until we started doing things as a family and I struggled at alot of the things that involved walking, running or even moving around alot. My daughter is 9, alittle over 5ft tall and about 150lbs......I find it very hard to encourage when I am in the situation that I am in. Last year we started looking into the wls options after numerous diet failures. Then I got this awesome job at Anthem BCBS and guess what the benefits are great. So, I started by calling St. Vincents hospital for a packet of info next thing I know I am sitting in the office. I know it was time to start my journey to a new beginning. I will keep you updated!!!
