Update - Post Op 4 Months
Mar 10, 2008
Hello everyone, sorry for the lack of updates. It has been 4 months. I am down, as of today, 80 pounds since the start of the process. I am wearing a size 12 (from a 22/24) and a Large (sometimes a medium - to show off the new curves!)
The best part was yesterday. Now I am a decent person, but this was the best. When I was 21, my boyfriend of 3 years started sleeping with my close friend. (Who was married) - And remember I have ALWAYS been heavy. She had the same build. Now I don't care about people's shape and size, but it was awesome running into her in Costco with my wonderful husband and beautiful two boys (2&3 yrs) and she had to do a double take. Then she stopped and said hello. It was pleasant and several years have passed, but it was awesome. I looked at my husband and said that was great. He said, "Because you are way hotter than her?" Yeah, pretty much!
Ok, now onto the rest. I had hit a plateau, but I figured it out. I was snacking. Getting back to the old habit of eating out of bordem. So I stopped. Went back to 3 small meals. PROTEIN, PROTEIN, PROTEIN... Then within 4 days lost 6 pounds. Go me! And I haven't been working out like I need to be. So back on track I go. It is just so hard. I am sure so many of you relate. Here is what I am involved in:
Work full time
Second Job - 10 Hours a week (2 a day)
2 boys, Loves of my life - 2 yrs and 3 yrs
Wonderful husband, who wants a little attention once in awhile!
Husband is a Volunteer Fire Captain, and is at the station 3-4 days a week
Involved in the Women's Auxillary - Coordinator
Kiwanis
Golf Tourney Chair
Church
3 Year Old in Preschool
Numerous Activities
Neighborhood Watch Captain
I like to cook at least 5 days a week
Keeping a house....and all that entails
Writing my own book
Soccer for 3 yr old Tues & Thursday's 6-7
Gymnastics Sat from 9-10 am for both boys
Scrapbooker
Avid Photographer
Friends? They think I have abandoned them!
So that is a normal week, and I love it. I am just wondering where I fit in time for me?????
I can say, I have a lot more energy and can hang a lot longer. I dig that. I have a few bites of my husbands meals, and dig that. I like feeling like I am not the heaviest person in the room. I put alot more energy into my apperance because I don't feel like it is wasted on my heavy self.
I put on an old swim suit I have always wanted to wear last night, and looked great. Couldn't keep my husband off of me! Life is wonderful. And I am so grateful for my friends here who understand.
Keep spirits up and the weight down!

Home from Surgery
Nov 07, 2007
Surgery was Monday. Went great. Dr. Baggs was great. I am pretty tired and sore, but doing great. I had a hernia that they found and repaired while they were in there so that is a bit sore and Dr. Baggs said it would be. I came home yesterday and have been enjoying my own bed like never before. I have walked the court twice and went and had my nails done since I had to take them off. I cannot stand water. It gives me gas???? So I have propel, room temp. Anyone else have that problem? I will post more, but need to nap. Thanks for your prayers. Laura
