Life is good! I have not had any problems with my Sleeve. It has been two years since my surgery 2013. I feel and look great. No regrets...Love the Skin I am in.
Find the good and embrace it!

Hi everyone,
I have been out of touch for a while. Nothing major to report my health and wellness are excellent. I am enjoying the new me and loving life. I reached 110 pounds in March 2013 and I am so proud of myself.
I know some of you can relate to the stupid questions for example:
How do you feel? Does it hurt? Where is the extra skin? Don’t lose any more weight? I smile and keep on moving.
I love being a size 8-10. I enjoy going shopping at Marshall's and looking for clothes to wear. I still find myself in the plus section or full-figures isle from time to time. Looking for outfits!! I guess old habits die hard. LOL
I have found that the more weight I lost. The friendships I lost. I had two people in my life who I considered my best girlfriends. The more weight I lost, the less I saw of them. I would have never believed it! So now I travel solo.
I have a great friendship with my cousin Nicole who is 10 years younger than I. We are like sisters and she and I spend a lot of time together and I love that. I have been an inspiration to her and now she is considering some weight lost options. Glory….

"I Can See Clearly Now The Rain Is Gone"
Dec 20, 2012
Well, people I had a wonderful visit with Dr. Marc Rickford this morning. Today's weight is 169 lbs and my waist line is 32 inches. I can't believe the progress that I am making. I am wearing a size 12/14. I think I can fit a size 12. People say "Where There Is Will, There Is A Way" I am moving towards my goal of 130 lbs. No rush to get there as of yet. Sure feel good to be moving forward and living well. Love you all

51 & Fabulous For Health. For Life. For Me
Nov 29, 2012
Welcome to my world. I began my journey of weight loss surgery January 2012, at the age of 51. Looking at my girlfriends and co-worker who went years before me! I decided finally that it was my turn to get my health in order. I suffered with poor circulation, fluid in my legs, high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart disease and sleep apnea. I could not walk 20 feet without taking a break. I would go to work and on the weekends be in the bed. I did not have energy to play with the grandkids. My highest weight 255 pounds and only 4"11.
My doctor had been after me for years to have the surgery and lose weight. I am so glad I did. My husband and I went to a Bariatric Seminar at Providence Hospital, Washington, DC in January 2012 and learned more about the different types of bariatric procedures that were out there. I went through a series of tests and the nutritionist was wonderful. After my consultation with my surgeon I chose the Gastric Sleeve. I have lost 80 pounds since July 13, 2012. I returned to work in September 2012 and have been rolling along. People stop me and say "Did you do something" I laughed and say..diet for life...
Now when hubby looks at me! He says "you look like the girl I fell in love with 25 years ago". I have so much energy. My sons tease me about being so skinny. I love it! I enjoy doing all things. I love shopping. In closing, if I could do it at 51 years of age. Then what's stopping you!!!
I encourage you to do the same! Better health, better life......Live, Love, Life
