Surgery is Tommorrow

Well here it is the day before my surgery and I'm excited and scared (thank you Lord for Xanax). I've done my bowel prep and boy was that fun, I'm all packed and all I have left to do is get dressed and watch the clock. See y on the Loser's Side!

Well I passed my nuceluar stress test. I went to my pre-op appt on Wednesday and everything went well there. So I am set up for surgery on October 2 which is next Tuesday which is 4 days away. I am scrambling around making sure I take care of everything for my family. I am renting a recliner for a couple of weeks as I hear it is easier to sleep in. Write later
Cardiologist Visit

Went to the Cardiologist today and he wants me to have a 2 day nuculear stress test starting tommorrow. Not excited about that, kinda freaks me out. If I pass this test, this will be the last hurdle in my journey. My pre-op is set for September 26th.

Well I received a letter from BCBSIL that I was approved 2 weeks after my appeal was filed . I immediately called the doctors office and they did not even know yet. Set my surgery date as October 2nd but Dr Davidson wants me to get a cardiology consult because of my past cardiac episode. That is scheduled for September 12th

The doctors office submitted my appeal on August 14th. Kathleen said they have 30 days to make their decision but it usually only takes 2 weeks or so. The stressful wait begins!

Well I just got word from the doctor's office that BCBSIL has denied me because I did not lose enough weight on my 6 month diet. I thought the whole point was not to lose a bunch of weight because then they would think well she can do it on her own, she doesn't need surgery. We are going to appeal their decision.

I have finished my required 6 month supervised diet, had my phyc eval and am being submitted to the insurance company for approval today.
