My name is Janice and I am now 363 days post-op. I turned 50 this past February and was determined to have a BIG weight loss after having lap band surgery on December 30,2009. I have encountered many ups and downs over this past year. My weight loss to date is 23 pounds. Not what I expected for my first year I am sad to say. I had a fill for the first time since having saline removed in May after a bout of vomiting. I started gaining weight over the summer and then began to experience "female problems". I underwent emergency surgery on November 30th and had to have a blood transfusion after a major blood loss. This was not WLS related. During the recovery period, I miraculously lost my appetite. I was able to gain a new grip on what my part is in this process of weight loss. I am starting a new year with a new found strength. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE AND GOD BLESS!!!!!!
