5 1/2 months out and still LOVING IT!!!

I am down 86 lbs. as of today. I absolutely love my RNY!! This has been an awesome ride. I've been able to cross my legs for about a month now. I bought a new pair of size 16 jeans last week............no W at the end of that 16 either. I got them out of the misses department and didn't even realize it until I went to try them on. I saved the tag and wrote the date on it. I couldn't wait to get to my car and call everyone that I could think of. Definitely a WOW moment!!
It's time to write about it....

Well, I am 9 weeks out and I'm finally at a place where I feel like I need to "write" some of this down. This has been awesome! I remember the very 1st thought that I had when I came out of the OR (no pain meds yet) was OMG what have I just done!! That quickly faded and things have been great. I've had my struggles, of course, but they have been few.
I started off the 1st few weeks just wondering when I was going to fall into the dehydration pit. I couldn't drink - every time something passed through my mouth I could feel it bubble its' way thru my system. It was like a constant state of motion sickness. I knew what it was going to feel like, so I just didn't drink. I experimented with different temp. liquids and finally got past this by drinking everything at room temperature. I also stopped trying to drink water (it seemed to be worse than anything). I tried the new Gatorade G2 low cal electrolyte drinks - I'm hooked. I also drank a good bit of hot green tea w/ just a little Splenda. I got soooo tired of the taste of anything sugar-free while I was on the liquid diet. I just couldn't stomach it. I have just started to be able to tolerate it again. I'm drinking the Crystal Light iced tea lately. I finally got over the room temp requirement and I'm OK with pretty much anything now. I dumped for the 1st time this weekend. Just a couple of bites too many and Man Oh Man!!
I think that's the old "you better clean your plate or you're not getting up from the table" coming back to haunt me!
I finally broke 250lbs on Sunday. It is just awesome to watch the pounds just fall off. I feel great! 46 pounds gone!!
