Hi Daniel, I had surgery at St. Joseph on Dec. 15th. I am really sorry to hear that you have had to stay in the hospital so long. Here's hoping and praying that you get to go home in the next few days. I am sure you will be feeling like a new man soon!! Good luck and may God bless you. Sharan

Hi, Daniel, I wish we had known you were in Lexington before now. I would have made a very special effort to get there to see you. being in the hospital sucks big time. But, I am glad to hear that they are thinking of letting you go home soon. Just hang in there honey, it does get easier and when you do get home come back to this site and post on the message board to us. Also we have a Kentucky message board. i am one year post op and have lost 100 lbs. I am under Dr. Steiner's goal by nearly 15 pounds and feeling great for an old gal (57)

Hey Daniel, How you doing? I hear from Dana that you are still in the hospital. (Isn't she a sweetheart). It is no fun being in the hospital for just a few days can't imagine a month. I have to thank the big guy upstairs that I didn't have any complications from surgery. I had mine done 6-9-03 and I am down -120 so I am happy. I am glad to hear that your mom is able to be there with you. Family is always a good thing. You have some awesome co-workers too!! This site is so awesome and there are alot of people pulling for you Daniel so keep that chin up and keep us posted. If you'd like to email me feel free to I would like that. Hello Daniel, I also had a leak and other complications, I was sent home from the hospital with a pic line to be hooked up every night to my IV feedings. I could not take anything by mouth for 2 and 1/2 months. I am fine now . I know that it is very depressing to be one of the very few people to have complications. I kept blaming myself. After all this surgery was elective. But I feel better than I have in over 25 yrs. I know I will be around to see my grandchildren grow up. I know in a couple of months you will be feeling better and ready to get on with the rest of your life. Hang in there and just know that things do get better. Evelyn

Daniel, I'm sorry to hear that you are having complications and have been in the hospital so long. I hear also that you are starting to heal again and that's great! Try to keep up your spirits. This will be over with soon and you'll be a whole new person! I'll be thinking about you and sending positive thoughts your way.
