I live in Wake Forest NC and have been married for 34 years and have 3 grown children and 3 granchildren. I decided it was time for me. I have been thinking about WLS for some time and started on this journey in Oct 07, I have been for my first clinical appt. at Duke. The last couple of years I have developed some health related issues due to my weight and hope this surgery takes care of them. My doc thinks it will. I'm 53 years old and once in a while I feel like why am I doing this at my age? But I'm going through with it. We will see how it goes. My family is all behind me.
