My name is Kristin I'm 23 and I live in Kingsport, Tennessee. I am married to my husband Larry of four years and we have a two and a half year old little boy named Mason. I see Dr. Hodge at the Johnson City Surgical Group. I decided in December of 2007 that I wanted to have surgery, originally I had considered the Lap-Band but after much research etc. I decided on the RNY. I was sick and tired of failure within every other diet I tried. I did great on Phentermine but right when I stopped taking it I gain back the 30 pounds I lost plus 15 more! In February I had my first visit with Dr. Hodge and over the past six months have completed everything. I had to do a six month diet, have an endoscopy, gallbladder ultrasound, psych evaluation, attend support group meetings, nutrition class, and wrangle up my five yeat diet history and a letter of recommendation from my pcp. My least favorite was definatly that endoscopy..lol.. however one thing I did like was the fact they numb you BEFORE putting in your IV. I mean seriously how great is that!! LOL. So now everything has been submited and now....I wait!!
