Do you Realize what having surgery really is? It is not a magic pill or magic wand that touches you and says tada! now you will lose 100 lbs! It is an ENFORCED DIET! that you must follow for the rest of your life. Or you can force feed your self and compromise your suture line resulting in poisoning your system with spillage from leakage from your stretched and distended stomach. When I realized that I couldn't eat what I wanted I morned the loss. I grew frustrated and depressed. Because food was my friend when I didn't have one. It was my comfort and now it was my enemy. It gave me humiliating gas and uncontrollable diarrhea. Sometimes weight loss would stall for as much as six months. Then I realized I actually had to exercise. All these realities are what you must face NOW! not later! Don't waste time like I did. I weighed in at 315 lds and now I weight in at 157 so I know what I am talking about. The biggest favor you can do for your self is to take the literature that the doctor's office gave you very seriously and study it carefully. Chances are that every bit of it as extremely accurate.
The bottom line is to remember that this is not a treatment. This is eating a small amount of food. You wont get to change your mind once it is done. Try it out for size to see how you like it. One thing is absolutelly for certain. If you don't accept the notion that this is an enforced diet and this is now the way you live your life, then as soon as you have it reversed or loosened or what ever it is they do now a days you will find it within yourself to gain it back. I can promise you that. 100% will gain it back if you don't change the way you eat and accept that this is the way you must eat for the rest of your life. That means if your goal is to weigh 140 lbs and you eat to maintain that weight, then that is what you must do forever. The minute you go up in calories you will start to gain. Surgery or not. So, take hold of your self and get ready to change, face reality. This is it!!!
