Timothy Christopher

"Dr. Christopher completed my RNY Lap 4/18/2002 and now my huband's 6/06/2002, both complication free. We have both arrived on "the other side" safely and successfully due to Dr. Chrisopher's expertise. While my first impression of Dr. Christopher was that he is a competent surgeon, my "impression" of him had little to do with my decision to select him. It was the fact that he has never had a serious complication or death as a result of this surgery that sold me. Post-Op, We are very satisfied with our choice of Dr. Christopher. He and Dr. Sherer and Dr. Stahl operate in rooms side by side and check each others work. This man appears to be a "perfectionist". There are many places we hope for perfection in our lives, but I am glad to have had it in the operating room. Don't be fooled, just because Dr. Christoper looks like teen-ager! They office staff is inflexible when it comes to their "policies".It took 9 days to get the letter in the mail. It spent 5 days "in the mail" and took only 32 hours to get approved. "

"I would suggest you have someone stay with you as the nursing staff is stretched pretty thin. Usually just one RN, and a couple of assistants per shift. If my husband had not been there, I probably would've waited a lot longer when I needed help getting up and down. Update, now that I think about it 11 days post-op. I do have a concern that the low number of RNs on the floor means that if a patient got into trouble, there could be a crisis, due to a shortage of qualified people."
