Today marks exactly 3 weeks until I have my RNY surgery! I am very excited, but very nervous all at the same time. Thankfully I have some very supportive family and friends to get me through. Yesterday I fell into a little bout of depression. It happens sometimes. Most days I am a very happy, bubbly person, but like everyone I have my moments. I was sad because all my friends have moved away and my twin sister, and all my family. Some days it makes it really hard, most days I can handle it. Yesterday was one of those hard days. But I went out and drove around and that seemed to help. I am just not a home body and I can't stand to stay at home on the weekends when I am off work. I like to get out and do things with family and friends, and I just don't have that anymore. I really need to make some new friends, but there isn't anywhere really to make friends my age, they are all older, or younger as I live in a small University town. Well enough of my ranting. Ready to get this surgery done, and get my life back on track and hopefully in a year or 2 I'll have some little feet to chase around and keep me busy! Fingers crossed!

So, I had to change my surgery date due to a family conflict so it looks like my surgery is now Jan. 28th 2013 and I go for pre-op on 1-17. Yay! Keep me in your thoughts and prayers that everything at pre-op goes well and my surgery goes as planned and smooth! Excited!

Yesterday evening was my first visit with my surgeon! Everything went wonderful and better than I expected. He said I was an excellent candidate for the surgery and this would be good to take care of the minor issues I have and prevent anything in the future, and he thought I made the right choice in having the surgery before things got worse. So now it's been submitted to my insurance and if It get's approved soon, I could have the surgery by the end of the month, otherwise it will be beg, to mid January! So either way it was wonderful news. So now once insurance gets their approval or not back then I'll get my date!
