Believe it or not I was born 3 months early and only weighed 2 lbs. As a young child I was always small up until I was around 11 to 12 years old. I was over weight. Then when I turned 13 I slimmed down and I stayed slim until I met my husband. I started gainning weight when I was 17. We were married when I turned 18 and I gained more weight. Then I got pregnant with our first child and I gained a lot of weight. Most of that weight came off after I had my daughter but I soon became pregnant again with our son. I gained weight with him and kept it on and I went on to be pregnant two more times all the while gaining weight. After my last daughter was born I was close to 300lbs! That was the biggest I had ever gotten. I saw a friend of mine at our local wal-mart and I had noticed that she had lost a termendous amount of weight. I ask her how she did it and she told me that she had weight loss surgery. That's when I became interested in weight loss surgery. I got all the info. from here and I was on the phone to the doctor who did her surgery. I had the VGB done in Okla. city back in 1991. I only lost 60lbs. I threw up after I ate constantly from the time I had the surgery and for 10 years after that. I was so tired of throwing up and having to have dental work to have all of my teeth capped that I started looking into a revision surgery with a doctor that was closer to where I live. I found a doctor in Lubbock Tx. to do a revision to the RNY so I had that done in 2001. I lost 70lbs. then my doctor moved out of state so I was left to figure things out on my own so being untrained and with no doctor's care I regained those 70lbs. In 2005 I was once again looking into a revision because I thought I had messed up my surgery. We had a new doctor coming into Amarillo, Tx. so I went to see him. He was all set to do my revision and I had all of my tests done but my insurance would not cover it. So along comes 2006 and the other doctor moved and a new doctor came and took him place. I had new insurance so I went to see this new doctor and he told me that i could not have another revision and that I didn't need one. I still had my tool and I could learn how to use it and use it right to lose weight. Well that has been 6 months ago and I have lost 75lbs! It is such a great feeling to know that I can re-lose the weight that I gainned back and I can lose the rest of my weight as well and I'm going to do it. Well that's my story so far...
