Hello! I just registered on ObesityHelp today.
I have made the decision to have WLS with Dr. Ben-Meir in Cleveland, OH. On June 2nd I went to his seminar and made my mind up after year of "thinking" about it to go ahead with the steps to make it happen. I have received paperwork from my Patient Advocate and am ready to procede.
I had my psychologist appointment yesterday, June 12th. The MMPI-2 testing was a bit strange to do but not difficult. My interview with went well and he will be sending all the test results and his evaluation to Dr. Ben-Meir and to my PCP. I paid him my co-pay but he stated that insurance will not cover the entire testing so I would have to pay the outstanding balance BEFORE he sends the evaluation out. He stated he has gotten stuck with people not paying him if he sends the emaluation out first. Go figure.....so people just don't pay their bills.
My PCP appointment is this Friday, June 18th. My consultation wil Dr. Ben-Meir will be on July 2nd.
I know my insurance covers the procedure but still unclear on what portion I will have to pay. I do know they require the psychological evaluation and my PCP referral.
I do know a few weights....March 15th - weighed 314, on June 2 - weighed 315, on June 18 - weighed 308. I have trying to watch my food intake in order to prepare for the surgery.
