Hello,
I have not yet gotten my surgery ok I still have a couple of hoops to jump through. I have to have a stress test. That is scheduled as is my first pscy evaluation. I also have to have an EGD as I take a baby asprin every day for my heart. I have some plaque build up in my aortic valve and my carotid arteries.
I have always been over weight since I can remember. I am looking forward to a time when I do not have to feel like everyone is judging me because I am fat and being the smallest one in the family instead of the fattest.
I have been on so many diets I can not remember them all. I almost always have had some success but have turned around and gained it all back plus. I have been on a supervised weight loss program for almost a year now and have lost 30 pounds. This has been one of the hoops I had to jump through to get my insurance to approve the surgery.
I had hoped to have the ruen-y but the surgeon says since I take an apsrin for my heart and I will still need to take it after surgery he is recommending the gastric sleeve. Then maybe a couple of years down the road doing the switch. If I want to. Then when he realized who my insurance is through he said we may have trouble getting it okd. So may have to do the switch from the get go.
I do not know what to hope for I know the switch is the fastest way to loose weight but !!
