It has been 1 year and 5 months since I had surgery.  I haven't been very faithful to this web site that has helped me change my life.  Shame on me.  Do you know how I found this web site?  I googled "Help me I am Fat."

I would have surgery all over again.  I have no regrets.  I have lost 74lbs.  That is awesome.  I feel better and more active now than I have been in years.

So thank you all the girls that work for Blue Cross and Blue Shield.  All the employees at the Barixs Clinics.  Dr. Schram you did an awesome job and you have changed my life.  Dr. Walko for believing in me and helping me with the approval process.

I am very happy that I am alive and able to do all the things - like Michigan Adventures with my daughter.  I fit in the seat.  I looked good in my bathing suit.  I love life. 

I finally received my date for surgery.  May 6 2008.  I am excited and a little nervous. 

I called bcbsmi yesterday to check on my status and they said I am approved,,,,but and it is a small but.  My paperwork was coded incorrectly and needed to be recoded and a new letter which should take about 2 to 3 days and then my records will go to Dr. Schram for review and hopefully another 7-10 days I will have a date.  I am so excited.

All my paperwork is complete they sent it in for approval from bc on 1/18/2008.  I hate this.  I just keep praying that my phone will ring and they will say your approved,,,,it is so bad that I dream about it.

I meet Dr. Schram the day after Thanksgiving 2007.  Since then I have decided this was the right thing to do.  I want the Gastric Bypass by Laporoscopy.  I thought about the band but I feel that I would cheat to much without much reprecussion.  I have bcbs and I am waiting for my Primary Care Dr. to write a letter and fax to Stephanine in ypsilanti.  My Dr. needs to state that I am on a CPAP for Sleep Apnea and all the other conditions she is treating me for.  I had the pshy. eval done in December.  As far as the 12 months Medical weight lose.  I have not done that.  I went to Curves for 5 months and my old primary care Dr. had me on another diet.  Because of my blood pressure, chloresteral, and other reasons they are going to try with a letter from my Dr.  I am scared and nervous.  I want this so bad that I think I am obsessed with it.  I don't want to fail again.

The Barix Clinic in Ysilannti is where from what I understood the files are for the insurance approvals.  Stephanie has been really helpful and nice.  I am sure she heard the desperation in my voice while talking to her on the phone.

I just keep praying.  

I love this web site.  I try to look at it at least 3/4 times a week and read as much as possible.  I have learned alot and I am sure I will need to know a lot more (if I can get this surgery).
