Hi ! My name is Michelle Killian and this is my weight loss story... The Journey to the new me is my Life story and my
struggle to win the fight against obesity . Obesity and being Over weight runs in my family and I've struggled with it ever since I was a young girl like 2yrs old .I've tried to lose weight and I would lose a little but only to gain it back and than some . As I've gotten older I've realized that I Have to do something about my weight but I never new what or really how. And than when i was 13 or 14 years I got Lymphademea In my lower legs , like if that age wasn't Hard enough. The Lymphademea made it hard and hurt to walk so I wouldn't do anything unless I had to and thats when I really started to add on the pounds . But because no one new what was wrong with my legs I couldn't do anything about It , but than in 2005 -2006 I went to the ER crying because my legs hurt so bad that I couldent evan sleep at this time my legs were 48" around ( the size of a grown man's wast ). And thats when an ER Doctor took one look at me and said the words I'll never forget , "You have Lymphademea.'' I was like ,"I have what ?". And now that I new what It was and how to control it I do my best to and it gave me my life back kind of , I was abel to do stuff better and evan though I've tried to lose weight and I have but only to gain it back .I realized my weight was way more out of control than what I could handel when my Parents had me set down with them and watch this show on TLC about a man that they called the half ton man when I saw him I started to cry because I new If I didn't do something about m weight that would be my future . I new that all my Dreams rest on me having this surgery because I want to marry and have kids someday and I know I can't do that at my size . I wouldn't Live to see them grow . Than I found out that my Aunt was going to have it and I got to see , first hand the type of life you could have with this surgery . My Aunt has a Obesity help profile and she said that I was her inspiration that she hoped that if she had the surgery I would see that It could be done and be okay and that would make me want to have it . Well I was her Inspiration but she's also mine because I know that if she can do It than so can I . And that leaves me where I am today . My name is Michelle Killian I'm 19yrs old and this was my story. I love my Aunt Linda so much and I'd like to think her for being there for me . Thank You .
