Well today I got my drain out and have not had any more shoulder pain so far.  Received a good report!  Don't have to go back for 6 weeks.  Feeling good today, just tired from the long drive.  Down 30lbs since last md appt prior to preop diet.  After my appt, I found my husband visiting with family in waiting room which had surgery the same day as I did and had to set and wait  with them while I was in recovery.  It was pretty neat.  She was also doing well! 

I have been doing very well.  I have taken myself off the hydrocodone and only taking tylenol for pain.  Seems to work pretty good.  My left side is still sore but managable.  I have been walking and getting out some.  I am going to go to church tomorrow if all goes well.  Haven't had any nausea or vomiting.  Feeling good!  Can't wait till Monday to see Dr Nick to take out my jp drain.  I keep pulling it on accident!  Hope everyone else is doing good. 

Whew!!! Didn't think it was gonna be so sore!! I have been walking some.  My left side feels like I am going to cut myself into when I try to get up!  The pain medication and nausea medicine really work.  I haven't got an appitite, but Dr says its okay to just pust fluids at first and try to stay hydrated.  All I have left is my jp drain and it is not putting out much!  I had to stay an extra day in hospital due to I had to have a ng tube going to my stomach to keep it empty.  Dr Nick was afraid I might pass a clot and cause some kind of obstruction.  Boy, was I glad to get the ng tube out yesterday!  I never knew how bad that was.  I am a nurse and have put in many ng tubes, but never knew how it really felt.  No I feel bad for all my little patients I had to do that to.  Well, its 250am and I can not sleep~ had to get up out of that bed.  Will try to write again real soon! Hope everyone else is doing great!!!!

I am scheduled for sugery on monday oct 12!! Getting excited but nervous!!
