It took less than 24 hours for BCBS to approve me! Clinicals were submitted to them on Thursday, July 5th at 3:30pmand by 1:00PM on Friday, July 6th, I was approved! My surgery date is August 7, 2012.
I have BCBS/Anthem PPO. I wanted to post this link for other BCBS insureds because I found it absolutely helpful. Its the insurance's company's policy on bariatric surgery.
