Have you ever seen the movie: THE WIZARD OF OZ??? Well, soon you will be saying what the wicked witch said when Dorothy threw a bucket of water on her: "I'M MELTING!! I'M MELTING!!!" Those lbs will just melt off of you soon. You will soon be walking down the YELLOW BRICK ROAD to see the WIZARD OF OZ and your sweetest wish will be granted. Congratulations and good luck to you. My husband and I both had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in San Diego in 2001 and have lost a combined total of 325 lbs. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Rochelle, I was wondering if that nutritionist is the only nutritional expert your PCP works with because it's kinda odd that someone who teaches nutrition would ever recommend Optifast to lose weight. If your doctor supports you having the surgery, maybe you can talk to him/her again and tell him what happened with the nutritionist. Good luck and wishing you all the best. :)
