Update
Aug 27, 2009
I have been so bad about posting. I love my band. I finally found my sweet spot back in November after about five fills. My Dr. is very conservative with the fills so it took a while. I had lost 80 lbs. but lost some ground this past June. I lost all restriction overnight. The Dr. finally determined I had a leak in my port. I had surgery last week but they found a whole in my tubing. This was a first for them. I am trying to get back on track. I currently have 5 cc's according to my husband. I'm trying to be good but so far, I really have not felt the restriction. I go back tomorrow to have my staples removed. I have become very dependent on my band and I don't want to have to fight this battle without it.

One Fill Down
Jul 21, 2008
Well, I have had one fill w/ very little restriction. I have lost a total of 26 pounds but it has been a struggle. I am ready for some restriction. I go back on August 4tth for # 2. Maybe that will help. I'm trying not to be discouraged. I am walking five days a week and taking a HydroFit class two days a week.
Back @ work
Jun 09, 2008
I had my surgery on May 27th and everything went well. Each day has been a little easier. I was not hungry at all for the first week but this second week has been a bit of a struggle. I have now moved on to mushy foods and life is better. Because I feel no restriction at this point, my concern is just how much to eat. Today is my first day back at work and it is good to get back to a schedule. I was able to walk a mile this morning. I have currently lost 15 lbs.
Surgery Date
May 09, 2008
I have my surgery date, May 27th, 2008 and I am ready to go today. I attended the nutrition class this week and that was my last step. I am ready to get this behind me so I can move on with my life. It seems like I have been planning this forever. I began my journey last August, jumping thru all of the BCBS of AL hoops. I have attend three seminars/support group meetings and I feel I am more than prepared.
