This is my story...and it is just the beginning. I got the call today that they have my surgery date. I was in shock...the time has flown by so fast. It has taken me about two years to get to this point. It all started when I was diagnosed with high blood pressure at 28. 28??? Are you kidding me...that's ridiculous. At that point I really started praying for God to show me what I needed to do to finally rid me of this bondage of excess weight. I have been heavy my whole life...i think since about first grade. I have tried everything from Atkins, to Jenny Craig to being monitored by a registered dietitian. I'll lose a little and then put it back on and then some. In addition with each of my three pregnancies I gained weight and failed to take it back off. After about a year and half of prayer and much research-all signs were pointing to weight loss surgery. Once I made the decision...it's almost like God has made the pathway. All doors have opened with no trouble...and now I FINALLY have my surgery date. December 8, 2008 is a new beginning for me and my family. Please keep me in your prayers...and if anyone has any questions or an encouraging word...please drop me a line. =o)
