A journey to an improved me

After thinking about it for over 2 years, I finally had RNY surgery July 12th. No complications so far. The two weeks on liquids was tough. Today I moved to pureed foods. Had some eggs for breakfast, ate too fast, and had discomfort in my pouch. Learned a lesson and was able to finish the eggs at lunch with no trouble. Steve is making me some lobster pate. Sometimes he gets carried away, so I hope it turns out alright and isn't too much for my still healing stomach.
I've only had the thought "why did I do this to myself" once. I'm glad I finally did it and everyone I've told has been very supportive and excited for me. I'm anxious to lose the first 50 pounds. That will be a great milestone. 14 pounds so far, 36 to go.
