Well...I am back in the hospital.  I had a fever of 102.8 and a WBC of 17.  They thought I had a leak..but i dont ( at least I think).  Havent heard just as of yet.  But I do have fluid trapped under my diaphram.  Which explains alot of unexplained pains.  The CAT scans come back good...the swallow test thingie come back good (again I hope).  I have had all sorts of new experiences since I have been here.  I got my first pick line...I didnt like the insertion of that...but its ok once you get used to it.  

I am doing so much better than I was yesterday.  I feel 80% better.  Id feel 100% if I could eat.  I am on strict NPO.  I would kill for swallow of water!  My throat is so dry.  I am an now using my G-tube.  They have a feeding pump attached to me.  I guess its all for the best.  

I am still wondering if I have done the right thing!  I guess only time will tell!

If anyone every says that surgery is the easy way out they can kiss my ass!!  I never thought I would be in this much pain..but it's all worth it.  Things are starting to get better, trapped gas sucks.  Today was the first day I could eat mush aka food.   Though i couldn't eat much it actually wasn't that bad, kudos to the chef ( and the chef seasonings ).  I never thought taking a shower for the first time would be so wonderful.  I've had the best nurses in the world ( My freaking sexy Husband, and my wonderful Momma ).  But, all in all I'm doing good, I'm looking forward to my promising future.  They told me I should be going home sometime tomorrow so we'll see what happens.  Talk to every one soon!!

Hi!  My surgery date is Monday and I am getting very nervous!  I know its going to be ok!  I am more scared of being put to sleep than the surgery part!  This weekend will be hectic.  I have to get my stuff packed up for the hospital stay and help my mom clean up my room at her house.  I am going to stay with her for the first week.  There is no nurse like nurse mama!  :)  Plus...she has had it done too....so she knows exactly what to do!   I wish it was already over and done with!  I am not looking forward to being away from my husband and my doggies.  This will be the longest time that I will be away from them!  But it will all be ok!  So....I hope to talk to you guys soon!  And I will see ya'll on the "losers bench!" 

I had my endoscopy yesterday and it all went good!  I was extremly nervous about it because I thought I would feel it.  The worst part about it was they couldn't get my IV started...they had to stick me 3 times and they "thought" they had gotten it.  But when they wheeled me in...they had to fix it again.  I remember I tried to swallow 2 times and I remember Dr. Mitchell telling me to hang on....and that was it....I don't remember anything until he said "Okay, You survived!"  Im glad that it is over with!

After that, I had to go to my PCP to see why my WBC was up....and it is due to an ear infection.  She gave me some massive doses of antibiotics and I have to go back in a week to get blood drawn.  I hope and pray that it comes back ok!  I REALLY REALLY want and need this surgery!  Its all going to be ok I hope!  I am still very worried about it all! 

I called Dr. M's office this morning.  They said it was elevated WBC.  I feel fine though....I don't think I have an infection of any sort.  But I have to go to my PCP tomorrow and see what she says about it.  And I have to have another blood test done.  Fun stuff!    I hope that it is all ok and they don't delay my surgery.  Has anyone had this problem?  I am going to tell Dr. M. at my endoscopy tomorrow about the blood work results.  I really don't want it to be delayed!  Oh Well! 

I got a call from the Nurse today and she said something is wrong with my blood work.....I didnt get the message until 6 tonight....What could be wrong??  I am soooo stressing about this!  I dont want them to postpone surgery!  Not after the day that I have had!!! 

I had my health and physical yesterday.  That was fun!  But they said that everything looked good and my date is good for my surgery!  I am very excited.  I can't believe that it is going to happen!  I have 18 days left!    I am excited and very nervous all at the same time!  It will all be well worth it in the end! 

The coordinator called me today and I have a date!  My surgery is scheduled for October 29, 2007!  I am so excited!  I might  be in the hospital for my birthday~but that is ok!  I am so happy that its going to happen! 

The Bariatric coordinator called me Thursday telling me that she has everything and she is going to forward it on to Dr. Mitchell's office.  I am waiting for their call to see if I have a surgery date or not!  I am very excited!
