Had my 1yr surgery anniversary on Feb 10th 2010!!!

It was weird to look at photo's from the last year. I've lost 90lbs from the start of my new journey. I'm very disappointed that I didn't lose more in the last year. It kinda put things in perspective. It lit a fire in me. I have been going to the gym every night again. I kinda lost that fire for a few months. This year has had it's ups and downs, but I would do it all over. Since my last post I was involved in a car accident which caused my port to tear from where it was attached. I was in alot of pain but it seems to be getting better. Only bad part is I will always have to have fills under florascope. So it will be more expensive. Kinda sucks. it could have been worse. Since the start of this process I am down from a 26-28 to 16-18 in clothes. I was so excited the first time I put on that size 16 top. I am hoping this next year is just as great. Well I better get off here. Im off to the gym.

Got another fill yesterday!!!

So I haven't posted in awhile so I thought I should give an update. I had my 3rd fill yesterday. They put 2cc in my band this time. My first was 2cc. and then 1cc. So I now have 5cc's, they did the swallow test and my band is super tight right now. I have been put on straight liquids for one week. I am already soo tired from lack of protein. and work doesn't seem to be letting up. We are in the middle of moving to a new office. I can't wait til the move is over. I made it under 300lbs next goal is under 250lbs. I haven't been under 250lbs for at least 7-8 yrs....I can't wait for the next goal.

So I got home last night. WOW last night was a hard night. I couldnt get comfortable...This gas thing is horrible...I have all these gurgles in my stomach but nothing is coming out..The pains are now in my shoulders...My husband and mother in law have been so supportive..they were with me at the hospital for 13hrs+ on surgery day and then another 8hours yesterday waiting for me to pee so we could finally leave...I hardly slept on the night of the surgery. I was up every 30 mins with the alarms going off in my room. between the iv line getting kinked or me not having enough oxygen in my blood...they tried to get me up and moving on the night of surgery i ended up almost passing out so they put me back in bed and tried again yesterday which i was up and running then...I puked only once due to being nausaus. So all in all everything went great.. my surgeon was so very nice to me and all the surgery team made me feel really comfortable...Well Im off to start walking to get rid of the gas.....

I got my surgery date.

So after I called twice this week I finally got a call back from my bariatric coordinator today. My surgery date is tenatively for February 3rd. I am happy to finally have a surgery date but upset because now im going to have to pay my out of pocket deductible twice. My surgery will now cost over $5000.00. The bariatric clinic told me they were scheduling in December now all of a sudden they dont have any dates til feb. It's rediculious. I had to call the insurance co. to see if they had approved it yet. Im just tired of other people not caring about their job.

So I just got approved for my surgery today..I am so excited. I will know my surgery date by the end of this week..Yippie!!!!! I have waited for this day for over 4 years. I have researched and researched I feel I am finally ready for this. I have done my blood work up, EKG, Sonogram, and EDG. I am scheduled for my seminar on Dec 10th. I am trying to have this surgery before the end of the year. We will see though.
