Wade Barker

"My first impression of Dr. Barker was that he is a very busy man, who was not big on talking. If you didn't ask, he probably wasn't going to tell you. I decided on Dr. Barker because I liked the fact he was a younger doctor with a growing practice and his reputation for being a good surgeon. rnHis office staff is absolutely wonderful and I can't say enough wonderful things about them. They are friendly, knowledgeable and reassuring. If I called and had a question it was always answered before I was off the phone. When I was told I would be called back, I was.rnI am now post-op and would say my opionon of Dr. Barker has pretty much stayed the same. He is more personalable then I realized at the beginning of my journey. Dr. Barker performs surgeries at several different hospitals and in my opionon makes talking with other patients a bit confusing. Not all patients see the same nutritionalist and have the same aftercare program. I feel the enormous growth of Dr. Barker's practice also leaves some gaps in commuincation between each patient. rnDr. Barker's office doesn't stress aftercare unless you ask. rnMy surgery was performed on Monday at Doctor's Hospital, where his office is also located. He did tell me he would not be visiting me in the hospital the following day, however, I would make a trip to his office before being discharged from the hospital. This sounded fine before surgery, but after the medications wore off and the pain hit, it would have been nice to see him if for nothing more than support just to let me know everything was alright. Instead another doctor came by to check on me. I didn't feel comfortable mainly because I had not met him before and he did not know me. rnOverall, I would recommend Dr. Barker, and I have. I feel in time the little glitches in the system will be worked out.rnI did not have any complications with surgery and am doing well, just a week post-op. Dr. Barker is a talented surgeon with a wonderful office staff. "

Doctor's Hospital Of Dallas

"Everything was fine with the exception of the noise level. My room was located right next door to the nurses station. Once the morning shift came on it was VERY loud. During the majority of the day all I heard were hammers and drills. Not a very restful place."
