Happy Independence Day - July 4, 2007

So, today is the 4th of July...big deal for me right?? At least five more days of this crap - and that's pre-op, not counting the post-op days until I can eat "real food". 
I'm on strict liquids and I'm so sick of Jello, water and one freakin can of Slimfast per day that I could SCREAM!!! 
No bbq ribs, no burgers, no hot dogs, no baked beans-Is there any point of celebrating?? Of course there is!!! Because today isn't about celebrating FOOD, it's about celebrating INDEPENDENCE!! Today, I celebrate no longer being enslaved by my desire to eat, my enormouse appetite or my uncontrollable emotional eating. Today, I celebrate the decision to regain control of my life and the will power to JUST SAY NO. I pledge allegiance to myself and the new direction I have chosen to take in my ENTIRE LIFE. I salute my vision for happiness and well-being. Instead of having a pity party about what I can't have today, I will embrace myself and be grateful for the opportunity I have been given to make a change....God Bless America!!! LOL!!!
