I have always been "the fat girl", the "big, boned girl", the "plus size" gal. I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't have one or all of these titles. That's been my identity. My fav is "the fat friend who always has cheesecake with me". In short, food is my friend. It comforts me, celebrates with me, cries with me, and listens to me.
I decided to have sugery because I have 4 other loves in my life. My husband, Bart, to whom I've been married for 17 years and together we have 3 sons; Kurtis 16, Kory, 12, and Kade 5. They are everything to me and I want to be here to celebrate them for many years to come.
My surgery will be in November of 2012. I am having RNY gastric bypass. I cannot wait to close the fat chapter and start writing the skinny girl chapters!
Look out world!! There is a whole lot of fabulous about to be unleashed on you!! Here I come!!!!
