Why am I here?

Dec 31, 2010

I often wonder how did this happen to me.  I have always been a "Big" person but 337 lbs!  Not able to stand long enough to cook my grandchildren some cookies,  Or even cook us a good meal.  I found I was making things that took less and less time.  I used to be able to work 12 hours and come home and do a few things. It had got to the point that it took 12 hours to do a couple of things
I lost 95 lbs in about 6 months back in my "30's".  Long time ago...  Then I quit smoking, it took a couple of years but I gained in all back and then some.  So this time I quit drinking about 3 yrs ago, smoking a yr ago April, and now the food thing is the last to do on my get healthy list.

So I had the surgery Dec. 20, 2010.  I am not sure what I weighed in at the hospital but think around 280 lbs.  I had be dieting for about 2 months. The surgery went well and I came home on the 23rd.  I had bought all gifts but there were things to do and lots of stuff to wrap.  I think I ended up doing to much and I have had a couple of set backs.  That is what got me to this page.  The nurse at Dr Gould's office informed me of this page.  So here I am.  I look forward to meeting others and new friendships.  Joan
