Old Navy
Nov 04, 2007
Billie and the boys came down this weekend. We went to Old Navy and I tried on a pair of size 18 pants, no elastic, just a zipper and a button. They really looked cute, so I bought them. Anyhoo, while at the cash register I noticed a tag on the pants.........................size 16. I haven't worn a size 16 since before my oldest daughter was born and that was 29 years ago.
WooHOO, go Nanci, go Nanci, pat yourself on the back

Got our treadmill last Friday, so will be doing a lot of walking at home. Sure is nice to get an employee discount.
This Friday, I have an appt at the gyn to get my 2 month remeasure. I never did take my measurements prior to surgery. I went shopping over the weekend for a few things, and everything I bought was size XL. MY 16/18 size pants are starting to get a bit loose.
Ain't life grand!!!

This has been such an amazing ride. Friday I'll be 4 months out from surgery and this morning my weight is 209 lbs. That's 71 lbs. This is so unbelievable. I have not weighed under 220 lbs in about 25 years.
BMI 35.8
Time to do a little dance. Woohoo! Go Nanci, Go Nanci

Seems just like yesterday....prayers to all our men and women in arms. And to my brother Rick, (a retired Navy SEAL) who is still fighting for our country in Iraq.
Almost 3 months out
Aug 03, 2007
It's almost 3 months since WLS and I'm down 55 lbs. I have gone from 3x/4x shirts to a 1x and some XL. Pants are down from 26/28 to 18/20. But today I did pick up a pair of slacks at the Goodwill, I thought they were size 18 but when I got home and put on my glasses saw they were size 16....and I got them on. Just a little puckering at pockets. WOO HOO. I can't believe all the support I am receiving from my co-workers. I had only told a couple people who I worked really close with prior to my surgery and everyone else found out when I was out. I didn't want to hear any negative remarks before surgery. I'm getting all kinds of supportive comments. Today a co-worker said I'm looking great and happier. I AM happier. My hubby has been great, when I don't feel like eating or am having a hard time, he makes me homemade soup. That always is sooooo good.
Until next time.

Today I had my first case of the "foamies". I ate to fast, talk about ruining your appetite. I ate dinner really slow. You read about all this stuff and it doesn't actually sink in until you experience it. Lesson 1 down.

Yesterday my hubby took me to Walmart, he said it would be too much for me, but hey what does he know. Well, Walmart kicked my butt. Should have listened. Came home and took a 2 hour nap. Heck I couldn't keep up with him in the store, its usually the other way around. LOL. Maybe I'll listen next time.
