Happy Mother's Day mom. I miss you so much. I wish you were still with us. You would be so proud of me and my weight loss. I'm down 141 pounds. I'm getting healthy mom, so it might be a very long time before I see you in heaven. I love you so much.

One year ago today, I lost my mom. She suddenly died in my home while visiting from Florida. I can't believe I haven't talked to you in a year mom. You are in my heart forever. I love you always! I miss you terribly.

The weight loss has definately slowed down. I am down 116 lbs. I wish my mom was here to see my success. This week is going to be hard, she will be gone one year on the 19th. I miss you mom.

January 2009

Its now been a year since my daughter, a soldier in the U.S. Army, has returned from Iraq. She was there for 15 months. I thank God everyday for bringing her home to us alive. I am so proud of her and all of our military.

Going through this weight loss journey is SO much easier knowing my daughter is on American soil. Please don't forget about the soldiers still fighting overseas. They need our prayers. God bless the USA and our military.

I hopped on the scale today, not expecting much and was down 5 lbs since this past Monday....woohoo!  Since the end of May 2008 I have lost a total of 108 lbs.   Since surgery down a total of 68 lbs.

Had my blood pressure taken today, it was the lowest its been in years.  116/88 and pulse was 67. I have been off my BP medication since surgery. I was so pleased to see my BP today!  Before surgery it was 180/140. Wow!

Hair is still falling out but hey that's ok! I love seeing the scale going down, down, down. As of today, I am officially down 100 lbs! Woohoo!

My pastor's son was murdered last week, he was only 22 years old. Today was the funeral. There had to be about 2000 people attending. It was very sad but yet the family found a way to celebrate his life through video and the family members speaking. There were many tears but great happiness knowing Ryan is sitting at the foot of our Lord now.

There was a reception afterwards and I did very well avoiding all the desserts. I pulled apart a sandwich and ate the meat only. I really wasn't in the mood to eat. Just a very sad day and my heart goes out to my pastor and his family.

Feeling fabulous! I have lost 59 lbs. since surgery, 99 lbs altogether. My son says to me the other day while out shopping, "Mom, you are walking faster than me now." By golly yes I was! That was a little WOW moment for me.
Another WOW moment was actually fitting into the chair in my dentist's waiting room. That was a first! I love my RNY!
