Good News*** Good News*** Good News*** Nancy had her surgery yesterday, a day earlier and is doing great. She spent the first night in ICU and was put in a regular room today. I was able to get a nurse to translate on paper for me to her. She said when she came out of surgery, she kept telling her interperter that she was in pain. She said that after she pushed the button for pain at least 50 times, they realized it was not plugged in. She is in very little pain now. She is doing her share of walking, and if everything goes good. She will possible be heading home Friday......thanks for all the PRAYERS and SUPPORT, and please keep them coming. I am sure she will be glad to read them all when she returns home. Kathy (Louisiana)

Nancy, As a person that is having WLS five days after you I asked myself what whould I want to hear this close to my surgery. I would want to hear that I am being prayed for and that my decision is the right one. I pray that your recovery will be fast and beyond your hopes. I ask that God watch over you and bring your through safely to the other side. Walk, cough and breathe deep as you being your new life. You are making the right choice to make a new life for yourself. God Bless you.

HI Nancy! I didnt realize you were the same one I have been e-mailing!! I love meeting other Deaf individuals going thru this journey! I wish so badly I could be there to interpret for you! If I am able.. I will call thru relay and see how you are doing. Will you have anyone who will be able to speak to me and let me know how it went? I know you will do just fine and I want you to know that you have 3 beautiful children! Pretty soon you will be so full of energy that they wont be able to keep up with you! Stay positive sweetie and remember... the thing to have on your mind when you go under is to visualize yourself thin, healthy and happy.. then you will go under with a smile on your face!
